The Grand Canyon of Oman
This full-day 4×4 adventure takes you to the highest mountain in Oman. At the top of Jebel Shams, you will look down into Wadi Ghul, a canyon with cliffs nearly 1,000 metres high. On the way down, we visit Misfat al Abriyeen, a living village of mud-brick houses, narrow lanes and palm gardens fed by an ancient falaj.

Itinerary
- 06:30 – Pick-up from your hotel in Muscat.
- 09:30 – Al Hamra and the road up Jebel Shams.
- 10:30 – Canyon viewpoints and an optional walk on the Balcony Walk (up to 1.5 hours).
- 13:00 – Lunch (own expense).
- 14:30 – Misfat al Abriyeen: guided village walk.
- 15:30 – Drive back to Muscat, arriving around 18:00.
